Customer Environment

PRODUCTS AFFECTED: 10G-SFPP-TX-A, ICX7250-24/24P/48/48P, ICX7550-24/24P/24ZP/24F/48/48P/48ZP/48F, ICX7650-48P/48ZP/48F, ICX7650-4x10GF, ICX7750-48F, ICX7850-48F/48FS Affected Software Versions FI 08.0.90a and above, FI 08.0.95c and above. CORRECTED IN RELEASE: No correction

Root Cause

This 10G-SFPP-TX-A transceiver consumes significantly more power than typical 10G transceivers.

Troubleshooting Steps

run show media to check for   10G-SFPP-TX-A  and the number of this types of transceivers.

For example: If you are using four 10G-SFPP-TX-A, you must leave four SFP+ ports empty.

Resolution

Please follow the guidelines provided in Table 1 below to avoid a power violation. For each 10G-SFPP-TX-A installed, another SFP+ slot MUST be left empty.
